Arrival Information

The RTSS conference location and the suggested hotels are located in the center of Vienna, near Karlsplatz.

When arriving at Vienna International Airport you can choose from the following means of transportation to get to Karlsplatz:

• Taxi - The taxi stand is at the right side of the arrival hall. The fare is about 35 Euros.
• Train to "Wien Mitte", two alternatives:
  • City-Airport Train (CAT): fare 9 Euros, travel time 16 minutes (http://www.cityairporttrain.com); or
  • Schnellbahn (S-Bahn) train: fare 3,60 Euros, travel time 30 minutes.
  From "Wien Mitte" take the underground, line "U4" (green signs), direction "Hütteldorf". Get off at "Karlsplatz" station (two stops from "Wien Mitte") and take the exit "Resselpark".

Reception at the City Hall of Vienna

How to get to the Rathaus (City Hall):
From Karlsplatz take metro U2 in direction Aspernstrasse, get off at station Rathaus, and take the exit at the front end of the train.
After leaving the metro station you will find yourself at the back side of the Rathaus.
The entrance to the Rathaus is located in Lichtenfelsgasse 2, which is at the right hand side of the building (as seen from your position).

For those who prefer to get to Rathaus in a guided group, we will meet at the main entrance of the TU Vienna main building (Karlsplatz 13), at 19:30.

Conference Dinner at Hotel Stefanie

How to get to Hotel Stefanie:
From Karlsplatz take metro U1 in direction Leopoldau and get off at the station Schwedenplatz.
Once you are outside the metro station, cross the Donaukanal via Schwedenbrücke.
This will take you to Taborstrasse. Follow Taborstrasse for about 150 meters and Hotel Stefanie will be at your right hand side.

For those who prefer to get to Hotel Stefanie in a guided group, the meeting point will be at the main entrance of the TU Vienna main building (Karlsplatz 13). Please be there by 19:10.
