Vienna Visitor Information

 

Vienna is the capital of Austria and is Austria’s cultural, economic, and political center. With a population of ~2 million, it is the largest city in Austria and the 10th largest in the EU by population. Vienna lies in the east of Austria and is close to the borders of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. In 2001, the Vienna city center was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
