Rachel Michaela Mettenbrink is the Design Studio Architecture and Engineering Lead at the Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management and is a PhD Computer Science student at the School of Computing at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Her computing research interests stand at the confluence of education, linguistics, psychology, and ethics; she is particularly interested in the relationship between the prediliction for and adeptness at computing as a field of academic study and the prevalence of neurodevelopmental disorders. She is advised by Dr. Stephen Cooper, PhD.

Rachel completed her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computing & IT at the Open University in the United Kingdom and her Master of Science in Computer Science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
