Initialize named recipient of CAS Inclusive Excellence and Diversity Award

CSE student organization Initialize is an inaugural recipient of the CAS Inclusive Excellence and Diversity Award.

Established in 2019, the award honors people, organizations, or units within the college involved in innovative or exemplary activities that have an impact on inclusivity in the college, campus, or community. Activities might include developing educational programs, facilitating university-community partnerships, or demonstrating leadership.

Initialize is a student organization within the Department of Computer Science and Engineering dedicated to using computing skills to give back to the Lincoln community.

Nominations are reviewed by the College of Arts and Sciences' Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access Committee, which fowards recommendations to the dean.
