Researchers in the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Department of Computer Science and Engineering received a Best Paper Award at the IEEE International Conference on Advanced Networks and Telecommunications Systems (ANTS) last month in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India.

The paper, “Differentiated Network Services for Data-Intensive Science Using Application-Aware SDN,” was co-authored by research assistant Deepak Nadig Anantha, professor Byrav Ramamurthy, research assistant professor Brian Bockelman, and Holland Computing Center director David Swanson. It was named the First Best Paper in the Regular Papers category. The paper was based upon work supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation.

ANTS is a premier IEEE forum on networking and telecommunications topics. It is the only conference in India, which is financially sponsored by IEEE Communications Society. The distinguishing characteristic of IEEE ANTS 2017 is the promotion of an intense dialogue between academia and industry to bridge the gap between academic research, industry initiatives and governmental policies.

Congratulations to our researchers on their achievement!
