I am fifth year PhD student at the Computer Science and Engineering Department of the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. I am working as a teaching assistant for the department and also as a Research assistant in the Software Engineering group (ESQuaReD). My advisors are Dr. Gregg Rothermel and Dr. Anita Sarma. I plan to graduate in August 2014.
I am interested in Human Computer Interactions, Usability Engineering and Software Engineering. My primary research interest is in providing software engineering techniques to end user software environments so that they are able to develop much stable and better softwares without much effort. I am also interested in integrating the theories from HCI literature to develop interfaces for endusers and also to understand the end users barriers while interacting with their softwares. My current focus is on web mashup environments.
I have received Master of Technology (M.Tech with distinction) and Bachelors of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering from Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, India. Before starting my graduate program at UNL I was working as a senior lecturer at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering college for more than 7 years. I have taught both graduate (Masters) and undergraduate students. I have also supervised several projects and theses. I am also Oracle 9i DBA Certified Professional.
