In this assignment, you will do a critical review of two senior-design project reports, one from Group A (consisting of our own CSCE 489, Spring 2007) and another from Group B, consisting of the projects of the finalists in the Imagine Cup 2007 Embedded Systems competition. This is a team assignment - the specific project reports assigned to your teams appear in the table at the end.

Your objective is to prepare a critique of each of the two project reports  according to the requirements specified below. I suggest that you start with individually familiarizing yourself with the documents that describe the project requirements (the course syllabus for CSCE 489 and the project guidelines that you can find from Imagine-Cup web pages and from the reports themselves.) Then, meet as a group to discuss the division of responsibilities and the timeline for completion of the assignment. Your critique should evaluate the total quality of the product, including but not limited to the following items:

1. An introduction or overview of the requirements/specifications

2. The extent to which the reported project fulfills the requirements/specifications

3. The clarity and readability of the written report as it pertains to explaining the project (i.e. how difficult was it to understand their design)

4. The completeness of the report relative to the required items for the project

5. A comparison of the two reports, addressing both the quality of the designs and the quality and credibility of the reports.

You will incorporate the above points in a 30-minute presentation, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A period. Your oral report should be a single unified entity. It must follow the presentation guidelines that you learned in earlier courses (you may wish to look at some of the Useful Sources links provided on the class web page for a review). 

Include a separate section in your presentation, indicating how the team functioned and how the work was divided among the team members.
