I received BE in Computer Application in 1997 from Hefei University of Technology and ME in
Computer Software in 2000 from University
of Science & Technology of China. I came to UNL in Aug. 2000 and got my Ph.D. in Dec. 2005.
My dissertation is "Making Learning Algorithms with Exponentially
Many Features Efficient", supported by NSF grant "CAREER:
Making Exponential-Time Learning Algorithms Efficient". My advisor
is Associate Professor Stephen
D. Scott. Now I am working as a scientific programmer for GC Image, LLC.
Research Interests
Machine learning, data mining, application of learning methods
to multiple-instance learning, bioinformatics and multi-agent systems,
kernel methods and Markov chain Monte Carlo methods
