(a) Problem: the “problem” that you
want to solve using a rule-based system or a case-based system in your class
project,
(b) Motivation: why it is important to
solve the “problem”,
(c) Challenges: the challenges or
issues for solving the “problem”,
(d) Proposed Solution: which system that
you will propose to address these challenges or issues, and justify, give rules
or cases that would be useful for the system, describe how cases/rules will be
developed, how to come up with certainty factors or adaptation heuristics,
whether and how learning will be used, and so forth; explain why you choose one
and not the other (rule-based vs. case-based) as well.
(e) Evaluation: how you will evaluate
the quality of your solution.
Requirement
You are required to use the software Blackboard Wiki to carry out this collaborative writing activity. There is a limit on the number of words allowed for this assignment: 1000 words. Summaries not satisfying this requirement will not be graded. Your topic summary will be graded based on: (1) 15% Problem, (2) 10% Motivation, (3) 15% Challenges, (4) 25% Proposed Solution, (5) 15% Evaluation, (6) 10% Grammar and Errors, and (7) 10% Requirements.
Your individual assignment score will be graded based on your contributions and the quality of your contributions. There are several functions on Blackboard Wiki: editing, deleting, creating new, commenting, and so forth. All changes will be tracked. Once your overall assignment score has been given, I will then assign each group member a factor of that overall assignment score.
