IBM and X Prize have teamed up to create a new $5M X Prize competition,
this time in AI. X Prize has had many notable previous science
challenges, including the Ansari XPRIZE for the first private space craft
to transport people into Earth's atmosphere, the current Tricorder XPRIZE
for building a handheld computer capable of performing medical tests to
detect diseases and illnesses in people, etc.

rather than robots since humans are better at adapting to custom orders.
