You DO NOT have to be alone.
You don't have to be alone. Really. You, yourself, DO NOT have to be alone.
It can be easy for anyone to feel like they are alone on such a huge campus. We want to connect
with you and encourage you to connect with others. We know that Christian Challenge could never
prevent anyone from ever feeling lonely again, everyone will and does from time to time. But we
can do our best to go through life together, be it loneliness, or sickness, or the finals week
that just won't die, in biblical community. We value experiencing UNL life together so much
that we spent almost all of an entire semester studying it together in our large group teaching
time at our Thursday night Challenge meetings. Living life together is even a key part of our
UNcommon Mission as well as one of our
6 values in which we measure all
things Challenge. Ultimately, we at Christian Challenge have found that Jesus Christ is the greatest
answer to our loneliness. It's in Him that we have found freedom, recovery, and release and this
moves us to run after him, headlong into the story he has for each one of us. It's in entering into
each other's story, wherever that may be for each person, that we find the greatest joy and
wholeness and we want to invite you, yourself, to come along with us in for the duration of your
UNL experience.
We have many ways to help us all stay connected with each other and pursue the truth about Jesus.
Two major ways are our Small Groups and our Thursday night
Challenge Meetings.

We'll meet in the 3rd floor lounge of Sandoz hall.
Weekly - Tuesdays - 7:30 - Co-ed EDGE
We will meet on the first floor of the Harper - Schram - Smith dining hall.
Weekly - Thursdays - 7:30 - Challenge Meeting
We'll meet in Lutheran Chapel Basement.

Parties
We love to have parties in Christian Challenge. We fully embrace growing as better disciples of Jesus' love for food, friends, and fun. Be it a chance to dress up for Halloween or scream at the Super Bowl on TV, Christian Challenge parties are an awesome way to live life together and get to know other students at UNL.
Retreats and Conferences
Every year Christian challenge has retreats and conferences for students. We go to an annual Kansas-Nebraska Fall Collegiate Conference in (you guessed it) the fall, we have gone to both Passion and Life Impact, and we even throw a few ourselves for freshman, leaders, and anyone we feel like stuffing in a van and road trippin' to Colorado with. |
