Homework 5, Spring 2010

(Pre-Proposal and Mini-Project Presentation)

Every team prepares a team oral presentation and demo based on Homework 4, using PowerPoint and other appropriate visual aids.

• Each team must include a 5-minute video recording of their project (e.g., an overview of the proposed project, a partial demo of the mini-project, etc.), similar in spirit to the Microsoft Imagine Cup video report, as part of its PowerPoint presentation.
• The team presentations, each 25-minute long (including the 5-minute video) including a 3-5-minute Q&A session, will be scheduled on Wednesday, April 28 (last week of classes), 8:30am-9:30am, 111 Avery Hall.
• The presentation should be divided evenly into presenting the project proposal and the mini-project implementation and include an indication of how the mini-project establishes the feasibility of the overall project.
• All members of your team must be actively involved by presenting a part of your proposal.
• Your team's presentation, including the oral delivery and presentation ppt, should follow the best-practices guidelines.
•  The PowerPoint file of your team's presentation \should be submitted through the CSCE 486/488 Web handin and via email by the end of the day of your presentation. Please bring handouts of overheads for everyone in the class.
