CSCE990. Seminar in Multi-Dimensional Chromatography Systems, Informatics, and Applications
(1 cr) Prereq: instructor permission.
This seminar will survey current frontiers of comprehensive multi-dimensional gas chromatography (GCxGC), a powerful new technology for chemical separations. Topics include the theory, history, and engineering of GCxGC systems; GCxGC data processing and analysis; and GCxGC applications. The seminar will be a collaboration of chemistry and computer science faculty, students, and scientists at the University of Nebraska, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Spelman College, Oakland University, Swiss Federal Inst. of Technology at Lausanne (EPFL), U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and GC Image, conducted over the Access Grid.
