CSCE 476/876, Spring 2002: AI Course Challenge

The "AI Course Challenge," a yearly contest for CSCE 476/876,  was started in Spring 2000.

The challenge rewards two students with the highest performance (ties broken randomly) by taking them to a major, top-level conference in
the field.  This year's conference, National Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AAAI-2002), is held in Edmonton, Alberta (Canada):

A student's performance is measured by his or her cumulative grade in the course, including bonuses and challenge questions.

Past winners of this award are:
     - Mr. Daniel Buettner (Spring 2000)
     - Ms. Amy Davis (Spring 2000)
     - Mr. Robert Glaubius (Spring 2002)

This award is supported by CSE (1 student) and by the Constraint Systems Laboratory (1 student).

Our goal is to increase your dedication to your studies and commitment to excellence.  My personal hope is that you choose a research and/or
academic career path.

If you would like to attend AAAI 2002, please check the AAAI 2002 Scholarship and Volunteer Program.  This program offers terrific conditions for students to attend.
