14th IEEE Global Internet Symposium 2011

Welcome to the 14th IEEE Global Internet Symposium!

Over the past 14 years the IEEE Global Internet Symposium has provided a forum for researchers and practitioners to present and discuss advances in Internet-related technologies. This year we received 35 papers, out of which 14 were accepted for publication in the proceedings and presentation during the symposium. The topics covered include network architecture, applications, security, reachability, and routing, that will surely generate interesting discussion.

Coming up with the final program for the symposium would not be possible without the help of a number of people. First, we would like to thank all the authors for submitting their work to Global Internet. The Symposium would not have been possible without your contributions. Second, we would like to thank the technical program committee, who worked hard not only in order to determine the final program but also to return thoughtful feedback back to the authors. Finally, we would like to thank the IEEE Infocom workshop organizers for their support during the early and later stages of the process, and for trusting us to oversee the entire process.

With that, we hope that you will find the program interesting and thought provoking and that the day’s events will allow you to not only discuss your own work with colleagues but also share ideas and experiences with fellow researchers and practitioners.

Sincerely,
Konstantina Papagiannaki
