IEEE INFOCOM 2011 International Workshop on Future Media Networks and IP-based TV

Welcome everyone to FMN-IPTV 2011, the International Workshop on Future Multimedia Networks and IP-based TV. We are honored to chair this scientific event to be held in conjunction with the premier and prestigious international conference 30th IEEE International Conference on Computer Communications (IEEE INFOCOM 2011).

Extensive international participation, coupled with rigorous peer reviews, has made this an exceptional technical workshop. The FMN-IPTV Steering Committee and Technical Committee members were selected for demonstrated scientific expertise. We want to say that each of their high-energy commitments is worthy of high recognition.

Concretely, six technical papers will present novel and important dimensions in the future media networks and how these would shape the IP-based television of the future. Additionally, the plenary talk entitled “You Can’t Hide: On the Privacy of IP-Video” will be given by keynote speaker Prof. Keith Ross (Polytechnic Institute of New York University, USA).

According to this technical program, we also expect to stimulate and enhance interaction, professional productivity, community and networking relations among attendants.

We hope that you have an enjoyable time at the workshop

Once again, welcome to FMN-IPTV 2011.

Looking forward to meeting you personally at Shanghai,

Sincerely,

Oscar M Bonastre, Federico Álvarez and Oscar M Mayora,
FMN-IPTV Workshop Chairs
