We invite outstanding individuals with research interests in Computer Systems for a tenure‐track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. We are particularly interested in candidates specializing in research areas related to "Big Data" such as exascale computing, high‐performance storage systems, data visualization, high‐speed data transfer protocols, and sensor networks, who will complement existing department strengths in storage systems, networks, and real‐time systems. Exceptional candidates with research interests in "Nano Systems" such as nano‐robotics, computational nanotechnology, and nano communication networks are also invited to apply.
Candidates are encouraged to collaborate with faculty in computer science and engineering, physics, chemistry, climatology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and chemical engineering departments, the School of Biological Sciences, and the Nebraska Center for Materials and Nanoscience.
Applicants should have a demonstrated potential for outstanding research and a promise of effective teaching at undergraduate through graduate levels including the advising of M.S. and Ph.D. students. Candidates will hold a PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
