Golf Tournament
Eight teams participated in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering’s first annual Alumni & Friends golf scramble held on Saturday, September 26th at Crooked Creek Golf Club. Winning teams included:
- 1st Place - The team of Tim & Jodi Holt and Tom & Jamie Kernes
- 2nd Place – The team of Mark Askren, Paul Brannen, Dan Dresselhaus, Darrel Kinnan and Rich Sincovec
- 3rd Place – The team of Mike Sump, Steve Weaver, Ed Wilson and Paul Staros
The opportunity to become a hole sponsor was also available. All sponsor proceeds went to the UN Foundation CSE Excellence Fund. Sponsors included:

Tailgate Party
Following the golf scramble, the 2nd annual Alumni & Friends tailgate party was held at the June & Paul Schorr III Center for Computer Science & Engineering. Approximately 50 alumni, friends, CSE faculty and staff attended the event which began 3 hours prior to the NU-Louisiana/Lafayette game.
The golf awards were presented and 7 lucky attendees won door prizes donated by the UNL Office of Campus Recreation. Guests enjoyed visiting with old colleagues and meeting new ones!
