IEEE INFOCOM 2011 Workshop On Cognitive & Cooperative Networks

Welcome to the 2011 Workshop on Cognitive & Cooperative Networks (CCN 2011). This workshop is organized in conjunction with the 2011 IEEE International Conference on Computer Communications (INFOCOM 2011). It is our pleasure to welcome you to this exciting event. We believe that your attendance will be a great experience for you and you will enjoy the talks given in this workshop which will benefit you in your future works in this important research area.

The scope of 2011 CCN workshop covers the area of next generation intelligent wireless communications, especially it will give the attendees a chance to exchange their research activities on cognitive and cooperative Networks. Cognitive radio and dynamic spectrum sharing systems allow different systems to share the same frequency band to utilize the radio spectrum in a more efficient way. On the other hand, cooperative relay based wireless networks are expected to provide significant throughput improvement and coverage extension for next-generation wireless systems. The research activities on the cognitive and cooperative networks have received a lot of attentions from both academia and industrial communities. This workshop will showcase both theoretical and application research results on cognitive and cooperative wireless networks, serving as an excellent venue for worldwide leading experts to share their state-of-the-art advancements in this fast-growing research area.

The Technical Program Committee of this workshop has chosen 15 papers from the 46 submitted papers. The program consists two sessions, and the session topics include Part I: Systems, and Part II Algorithms and Analysis.

We would like to gratefully acknowledge the people who have contributed their invaluable efforts in organizing and supporting this event. We also thank the technical program committee members for their careful peer reviews. We would like also to thank the organizers of IEEE INFOCOM 2011 and in particular to the Workshop Co-Chairs Chunming Qiao and Ivan Stojmenovic, without whose helps the success of this workshop is impossible. In particular, our gratefulness goes to the authors who submitted their quality research works to this workshop, making it a high-quality program. Do enjoy your stay in Shanghai!
